About DFI's Educational Trust

The Deep Foundations Institute Educational Trust is an independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2006 by the Deep Foundations Institute (an industry association) as its charitable arm.

The Trust is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees and administered by staff of the Deep Foundations Institute, at DFI’s offices in Hawthorne, New Jersey.

Creating Opportunities

The Trust manages 23 Scholarship and Grant Funds to provide financial support to students interested in pursuing a career in deep foundations. In addition, education and outreach programs seek to engage students and young professionals in the deep foundations industry. Each year, several fundraising events are organized to raise awareness and donations for the Educational Trust programs.

Since its founding, the DFI Educational Trust has awarded nearly $2 million in scholarships and grants to at least 500 students studying at colleges and universities across the United States and Canada.

I promise you I will work very hard and eventually give back to others and help students achieve their goals just as you have helped me. Once again, thank you so much for your generosity and support. I really appreciate it. Thank you so much for your support for Geotechnical Engineering students at Purdue like me!"
