Menard Carnegie Mellon University Scholarship

Initially, the Menard Carnegie Mellon University scholarship was part of the Charles J. Berkel Memorial Scholarship Fund. In 2012, it became a stand-alone scholarship, thanks to the fundraising efforts of DFI Past President Seth Pearlman. From 2012 to 2016, the fund was supported by direct donations and with net proceeds of the DFI Educational Trust Pennsylvania Annual Golf Outing. Since 2016, the fund is supported through direct donations only.

As is the case with other Trust scholarships, recipients must demonstrate financial need and an interest in the deep foundations industry via civil or geotechnical engineering.
